REED RICKERT – Producer, Director, Cinemotagrapher<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reed is an award winning documentary filmmaker, who has produced, directed, photographed and edited various documentaries, TV programs and branding films worldwide.<\/p>\n

Reed is a two time finalist for National Geographic\u2019s Wild To Inspire Short Film Competition and in 2019 he won with his film\u00a0The Flip<\/i><\/a><\/span>, which premiered at Sun Valley Film Festival and was Official Selection at Banff Mountain Film Festival & World Tour, Kendal Mountain Film Festival, Boulder International Film Festival, Telluride Mountainfilm Festival, San Jose International Film Festival, BendFilm Festival and more.<\/p>\n

He was recipient of the National Geographic Filmmakers Grant to produce his most recent film Pacha Kuti: The Golden Path<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

He was cinematographer on the Amazon Prime series Pan y Circo<\/a> starring Diego Luna<\/a> as well as the Grammy winning music documentary El Objeto Antes Llamado El Disco, La Pelicula<\/a>, a film that follows legendary Mexican rock band Cafe Tacvba<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2009, he won the Latino Public Broadcasting Open Call Award to make his first feature documentary, The Third Root<\/em>, <\/span> which had its world premiere at the Guadalajara International Film Festival<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reed was a Division I soccer player for University of Maryland where he began studies in Anthropology before graduating from California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA with a BFA in Film \/ Video. He is the founder of Bumi Films<\/a>, a full service multimedia production company.<\/span><\/p>\n

As an avid rock climber and explorer Reed is drawn to stories in adventure sports, music, and nature and cultural conservation.<\/span><\/p>\n

M\u00fasico multinstrumentista que ha colaborado con m\u00fasicos de diferentes latitudes. ha tenido la oportunidad de tocar con maestros de la m\u00fasica andalusi, Suf\u00ed, Gnaoua y Flamenco, en festivales en Marruecos, , USA, Canada, Sudamerica y Europa.\u00a0<\/span>Su pasi\u00f3n por el flamenco empez\u00f3 cuando descubri\u00f3 un disco de Paco de Lucia en la biblioteca de su casa,\u00a0<\/span>ese sonido lo capturo y lo mantiene siendo fiel aficionado a la guitarra flamenca, El no se auto define ni como jazzista ni como flamenco , mas bien como un expresador, nacido en la ciudad de M\u00e9xico, paso alg\u00fan tiempo en la Escuela Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00fasica Y en la orquesta sinf\u00f3nica juvenil, donde se desarrollaba como violonchelista a la edad de 14 a\u00f1os, alternando esta actividad con la guitarra fiel compa\u00f1era , su\u00a0afici\u00f3n a tocar el\u00a0bajo tambi\u00e9n lo ha llevado por escenarios del mundo ,vivi\u00f3 unos a\u00f1os en Marruecos donde estudio el toque del oud \u00a0y de la percusi\u00f3n. Como guitarrista a grabado en producciones internacionales y tocado en diveros festivales y grabaciones , con su proyecto personal ha podido conquistar audiencias, invitando a estrellas del flamenco y del jazz.
